RATP – A modern vision of mobility

The RATP-operated multimodal network in the Paris Region is one of the world’s largest and densest mass transit systems: 14 metro lines, 2 RER (regional express train) lines, 3 tram lines, over 350 bus lines, and shuttles to 2 major airports transport 3 billion passengers each year.

Improving quality of life
The T2K project will contribute to the company’s commitment and baseline “aimer la ville”: “to make life in the city more enjoyable”. Current elements of its sustainable development strategy include: silent low-polluting tramways, Euro V standard buses, trains with brake energy-recovery systems, and eco-designed buildings and materials. Today, using the RATP trains & metro lines, instead of driving a car means emitting 50 times less greenhouse gases.
